K-12 Engagement
The Ohio Cyber Range Institute provides virtual lab environments for students and teachers, giving access to cybersecurity education programs, modules and lessons within the range. These education resources are categorized based on the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) framework.
NICE is led by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in the US Department of Commerce and serves as a partnership between government, academia, and the private sector, supporting the country's ability to address current and future cybersecurity education and workforce challenges through standards and best practices.

Education modules have been developed to support instructors which include learning resources and labs that utilize the Ohio Cyber Range virtual environment. Discover OCRI Programs, Modules, or Lessons by category, or simply use the search function to see relevant education materials.

Practitioner Workforce Development
The OCRI also aims to build pathways for adult learners, including veterans and non-degree seeking individuals, to gain access to cybersecurity education opportunities. ​Through events such as the OCRI Cyber Security Bootcamp, adult learners have the opportunity to earn certificates such as CompTIA Network+/Security+ in short-term programs.

Higher Education and Workforce Development
The Ohio Cyber Range Institute supports formal courses, student groups, student research, as well as industry and academic research. ​Since 2020, the Ohio Cyber Range hosted 727 college courses and engaged more than 1,200 students through advanced lab modules.
